Any time a mon went down you just lay out a ridiculous amount of damage. From what I can tell though the glaive form infinite combo has far and away the best dps in the game, haven't looked too thoroughly though. Again it overall wasn't a hard fight, it was just annoying.Įven so I've done most of the missions with an SSS rank on the first try with each one taking ~5 minutes with the biting edges. Balmung isn't hard, but even if you dodge it's devour attack it just immediately does is again, and again until it inevitable hits one of your npcs, even if you dodge it 5+ times in a row. For example, most of the floating aragami aren't hard they're just not fun, havakiri and oh my god balmung.

Mostly on the scorpion aragami that I can't remember the name of right now and a lot of the 'swipe' attacks aragami have which seem to have windboxes past the actual model that do full damage or parts of the body doing full damage when they only move a tiny bit to step forward or whatever and beyond that quite a lot of the aragami are just annoying anyway. I've been finding myself getting quite frustrated in the missions. Because devour is really slow I've found with some aragami even if you catch them in their long recovery animations you still have to hope they decide not to attack you to actually get your devour. Some of the aragami haven't had increases to the length of the tells for their attacks but the attack itself is faster so I've found that to make aggressive play quite frustrating as you mostly have to play on reaction to the enemy. I'm not sure on the general speed increase. Maybe I just haven't unlocked the burst arts that are cool. In MH I wanted to try all the weapons but coming back to GE I spent ages in the training mode trying to find something kind of interesting. Bear in mind that I'm not a big fan of the weapons in GE. For example the burst arts that send you into the air are often so slow that you're getting better dps from just jumping and attacking. I've found the burst arts to be pretty inconsequential so far, minor damage increase on your favourite move and quite a few of them are worse than the default move. Not trying to be negative, I honestly don't see how it's better. I've seen a lot of people saying the gameplay is the saving grace of this game and is a lot better than 1 and 2 and I'd appreciate if someone could explain to me in what regard.
